Question 01 : How do I fill JAM 2018 Online Application Form for Admission (or Admission Form)?

Answer : Go to the JOAPS login available at JAM 2018 Information website and fill the form.

Question 02 : How do I pay the JAM 2018 Admission Form fee?

Answer You can make the Admission Form fee payment only through online. Payment can be made using credit/ debit/ net banking through the payment gateway. Extra charges, depending on the mode of payment, will be added to the admission fee during payment. The Application fee for admission is non-refundable.

Question 03 : What should I upload in X Class certificate fields?

Answer : You must upload your Class X Certificate as a single pdf file within file size 4 MB.

Question 04 : What should I upload in XII Class certificate fields?

Answer : You must upload your Class XII Mark-sheet as well as the Certificate as a single pdf file within file size 4 MB.

Question 05 : Which Certificate should I upload for Nationality?

Answer : If you are a General Candidate (and not a foreigner), you have to upload any of the following Certificates for Nationality.

1.    Birth Certificate

2.    Aadhar Card

3.    Voter ID

4.    First page of Passport

5.    School Transfer Certificate (TC) showing Nationality

6.    Nationality Certificate issued by the authorized government agency.

Some of the documents that are NOT accepted for Nationality are :

Ration Card, Bank Passbook, Mark-sheet, PAN Card, Driving License, School/ College ID etc.

If you are unable to upload the Nationality Certificate at the time of application, please submit the Certificate to the Admitting Institute at the time of admission.

Question 06 : How do I add records in 'Qualifying Degree Academic Details & Documents' section?

Answer : You should add subject papers of a semester, one after another (i.e. one paper at a time), in the pop up window appearing on clicking the 'Add Records' button. You repeat the same for other semesters/years. If your programme is not semester wise then select 'Not Applicable' in semester field and add all the papers year-wise.

Question 07 : For each semester do I have to add separately the marks obtained for each paper?

Answer : Yes.

Question 08 : What should I upload in the Qualifying Degree certificate field?

Answer : The documents must be uploaded year-wise only. If there are two semesters in a year, then the documents of the two semesters have to be uploaded together as a single pdf file not exceeding a size of 4 MB. In this section, you must upload Mark-sheets and Degree/Provisional Certificate (if applicable).

Question 09 : In the 'Qualifying Degree Academic Details & Documents' section should I have to add all the papers including honours, subsidiaries?

Answer : Yes, you have to add all the papers including honours, languages and subsidiaries etc.

Question 10 : How many preferences can I add?

Answer : You can add as many number of preferences as possible based on your qualified JAM Test Paper(s). But you must ensure ERs and MEQs requirements of a particular programme at an Institute are satisfied before adding it as one of your programme choices.

Note : If you do not fulfil the ER & MEQ requirements of a particular programme, you will not be eligible to join the programme though you could choose the programme as one of the choices

Question 11 : Do I need to send any hard copy of the document ?.

Answer : No, Please do not send any hard/ printed copy of the documents.

Question 12 : I have only CGPA for Class XII mentioned in the mark sheet. What should I enter in aggregate marks field?

Answer : You enter the CGPA in the aggregate marks field.

Question 13 : When and how do I know whether I have been offered a programme?

Answer : First set of offers are likely to be made by last week of May 2018. Information will be sent by Email/SMS and will be displayed on the online portal. Second and subsequent offers may be made depending on the availability of the seats.

Question 14 : Can I modify my "Programme Choices" after submitting the application?

Answer : A Candidate can modify his/ her "Programme Choices" after submitting the choices, but before the last date of submission i.e. 17 April 2018. They cannot change any other information in the application after submitting their application.
